• Preschool Preregistration for the 2025-2026 school year began online at 6:00 p.m. on January 28, 2025. Please review the detailed  Preschool Preregistration Information for the 2025–2026 school year.

Preschool Students

The following information is an overview of the Preschool registration process. 

• On January 28, 2025, Preschool Preregistration opened at 6:00 p.m. Parents are welcome to complete the Preregistration Form. (Note: For those needing assistance, an in-person help session will be available on January 28 from 5:30 – 8:00 p.m. at Valerius Elementary.)
• Once we receive your Preregistration Form, you’ll receive a confirmation email. 
• By April 11, 2025, we called parents/guardians with the status of your child’s placement in the Preschool Program (accepted or waitlisted).
• If your child is accepted into the Preschool Program, you’ll receive an email (subject line: “Urbandale School Registration”) with instructions for how to create a PowerSchool Parent Portal account. Once you create an account, you’ll login to the PowerSchool Parent Portal and complete the enrollment process. This will include:
  • Uploading Proof of Residency (New Students Only)
  • Uploading Proof of Birth (New Students Only)
  • Uploading a Current Physical (New and Returning Students)
  • Uploading Current Immunization Record or Immunization Exemption Certificate (New and Returning Students). Per Iowa law, all students PreK – 12 will need to provide a record of up-to-date vaccinations or a certificate of medical or religious exemption. Links for these certificates can be found on the health services page of the District website.
  • Registering in Revtrak (Preschool Billing and Adventuretime Family Services)
  • Filling out Emergency Form in DocuSign (HHS Required for New and Returning students)
• If your child has been waitlisted, we will notify parents/guardians as spots become available.

Returning Early Childhood Special Education Preschool Students

The following information is an overview of the Preschool registration process. 

• Returning Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) preschool families do not need to preregister for preschool; however, families do need to complete returning student registration. 
• Returning ECSE preschool students will complete the returning student enrollment forms in your existing PowerSchool Parent Portal beginning on March 3, 2025. Completing the enrollment process within your PowerSchool Parent Portal includes:
  • Uploading a Current Physical (Returning Students)
  • Uploading Current Immunization Record or Immunization Exemption Certificate (Returning Students). Per Iowa law, all students PreK – 12 will need to provide a record of up-to-date vaccinations or a certificate of medical or religious exemption. New Early Childhood Special Education Preschool Students

The following information is an overview of the Preschool registration process. 

• New Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) preschool families do not need to preregister for preschool; however, families will need to preregister with the Urbandale School District.  
• Once your preregistration is approved by the district, you will receive an automated email (subject line: “Urbandale School Registration”) with instructions on how to create a PowerSchool Parent Portal account and complete new student registration. Completing the enrollment process within your PowerSchool Parent Portal includes:
  • Uploading Proof of Residency (New Students Only)
  • Uploading Proof of Birth (New Students Only)
  • Uploading a Current Physical (New  Students)
  • Uploading Current Immunization Record or Immunization Exemption Certificate (New Students).
